The Explorers Program operates at 40 schools within Merced County. Enrollment is open to all students in grades K-8. Students must attend, and applications must be submitted.
Each district determines the enrollment priorities for its students each year. For more information about the enrollment priority of a school, please contact the office.

Parents are required to attend an orientation to go over the expectations of the program. All parents will receive a parent handbook at the orientation listing the expectations of the ASSETS program. After the orientation, parents will receive notification of enrollment. Should interest exceed program capacity, a waiting list will be developed.
The Explorers Program is a grant-funded after-school program administered by the California Department of Education. This program intends to provide priority services to students who can take full advantage of the after-school program. Please review the enrollment application for more information regarding the attendance expectations of this program.
